The St. Christopher and St. Margaret Mary Bereavement Support Group meets in the
St. Christopher Rectory (130 Midland Avenue) every Tuesday from 7:00pm to 8:30pm
from September 26, 2016 to December 12, 2016
.

The death of a family member or friend confronts us with one of life's most difficult and
painful challenges.

The Pastoral Bereavement Program of the Archdiocese of New York is the Church's
response to God's call to comfort those who mourn. The Program began more than
20 years ago and has grown to include over 50 parishes throughout the Archdiocese
of New York
.
Support Groups
Parish-based bereavement support groups, facilitated by trained volunteers, are the cornerstone of our
Pastoral Bereavement Program.

Our support group meets in our parish rectory and is open to people of all faiths. Our bereavement
ministers' goal is to provide a safe place where the bereaved can share their experiences with others,
learn about the process of grief and be supported by their Church family during a difficult time.

If you are interested in attending a Bereavement support group or would like additional information,
you may call the Parish Office at (718) 351-2452.  Please inform the office staff if you would like
a member of the Bereavement team to call you back.
